ANTI RAGGING WEEK

On 12th August 2025, the Department of Sociology, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University participated in documentary screening on the occasion of Anti-Ragging Day. The screening was arranged for the students of Semester I in Room No. 35 and Semester V in MTH, with the aim of sensitizing them about the harmful effects of ragging and the importance of fostering a respectful and inclusive environment on campus. The documentary carried a strong message that motivated students to refrain from engaging in any form of ragging and to uphold the dignity of every individual.
The program was conducted under the able supervision of Dr. Tapashi Bhattacharjee , Head, Department of Sociology, with the active presence and support of all faculty members of the department. The initiative proved to be insightful and encouraging for the students, reinforcing the college’s commitment towards maintaining a safe, ragging-free, and dignified academic atmosphere.

Slogan /Poster Making /Logo Designing Event

On 13th August 2025, the Department of Sociology, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, actively participated in a slogan/poster-making/logo-designing event organized as part of the observance of Anti-Ragging Week for Semester V students in MTH. The event aimed at spreading awareness about the ill effects of ragging and promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment on campus. Students of the department took enthusiastic part in the competition and prepared creative and insightful posters, slogans, and logos, each reflecting their sense of responsibility and commitment towards eradicating ragging from educational institutions. Their active involvement not only showcased their talent and creativity but also instilled in them a deeper understanding of the importance of maintaining discipline, dignity, and mutual respect among peers.
The department’s participation was carried out under the able guidance of Dr. Tapashi Bhattacharjee, Head, Department of Sociology, with the active presence and encouragement of all faculty members of the department, which further motivated the students to give their best.

Filling Of Anti – Ragging Affidavit Forms

On 14th August 2025, as a part of the observance of Anti-Ragging Week, the Department of Sociology, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, participated in the filling of Anti-Ragging Affidavit forms by Semester I students in Room No. 35. The activity was undertaken to make students aware of their responsibility in maintaining a ragging-free campus and to encourage them to commit themselves legally and ethically to upholding values of mutual respect, safety, and inclusiveness within the institution.
The event took place under the able guidance of Dr. Tapashi Bhattacharjee, Head, Department of Sociology, with the active presence and encouragement of all faculty members of the department. Their involvement not only motivated the students to sincerely complete the affidavit-filling process but also reinforced the seriousness with which the institution addresses the issue of ragging. By this the students pledged to contribute towards building a campus environment based on discipline, dignity, and harmony, aligning with the broader objectives of Anti-Ragging Week.
