Demonstrating that environmental responsibility begins at home, Srishti Environment Club, in collaboration with the Department of Geography and the ECO Task Force, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, organized a large-scale Campus Conservation Drive on 28.07.2026 aimed at fostering a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable academic environment.
The initiative brought together an impressive 450 students, who enthusiastically participated in cleaning every corner of the college campus. Students from the Departments of BBA, BCA, MCA, Fashion Designing, Data Science, Master of Social Work (MSW), B.Ed., Advertising and Marketing management (AMM), English Communication and media (ECM), Bachelor of Mass Communication (BMC), and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML) joined hands in a remarkable display of teamwork and environmental commitment.
The conservation drive was organized with the objective of instilling the values of environmental ethics, civic responsibility, and collective action among students. Beyond improving the cleanliness of the campus, the programme encouraged participants to recognize that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility and that small, consistent actions can lead to significant and lasting positive change. The event also inspired students to adopt sustainable habits and become ambassadors of environmental awareness in their communities.
The drive witnessed wholehearted cooperation from the faculty members of all the participating departments, whose encouragement and active involvement played a vital role in motivating students and ensuring the smooth execution of the programme.
The entire event was successfully coordinated under the able guidance and supervision of Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Head, Department of Zoology and Vice President, ECO Task Force, Patna Women’s College, and Ms. Meenakshi Mishra, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography and Coordinator, Srishti Environment Club. Their leadership and meticulous planning ensured enthusiastic participation and effective implementation of the conservation initiative.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment from students and faculty members to maintain a clean campus and continue promoting environmentally responsible practices.
