The second day of the National Conference on “Community Based Approach Towards Sustainable Environment and Society: Viksit Bharat @2047”, organized by the Department of Geography, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna, in collaboration with St. Philomena’s College (Autonomous), Mysuru, was successfully conducted on 25th March 2026 in online mode.
The day began with Plenary Session II, featuring eminent speakers Dr. Shweta Rani and Dr. Rashmi Rani Anand, who delivered insightful lectures on green living and sustainability in national and global contexts. This was followed by two parallel technical sessions, providing a platform for meaningful academic discussions and knowledge exchange among participants. The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 100 participants. The valedictory address was delivered by Prof. D.K. Nayak, Professor, Department of Geography, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, who appreciated the quality of research presentations and emphasized the importance of community participation in sustainable development.
The event was successfully organized under the convenorship of Dr. Amrita Chowdhury, Co-Convenor Dr. Awadhesh Kumar, and Organizing Secretary Dr. Sister Anna A.C., along with the dedicated support of the organizing committee members, ensuring the smooth and successful completion of the conference.
