The Digi Poster Presentation Competition on “Scientific Ideas to Digital Innovation and Startup” was organized by the Department of Biotechnology, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) on 21st September 2026 in the Video Conferencing Hall. It featured final-year master’s Biotechnology (Sem-3rd) students presenting scalable startup innovations across deep-tech, healthcare, forensic science, and environmental biotechnology. Participants showcased research-backed posters featuring applied biological mechanisms, market entry frameworks, unit economics, and regulatory roadmaps, which were evaluated by an expert judging panel comprising Dr. Jaya Philip (Head of Department of Microbiology),Sister M. Luveena A.C. (Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology), and Dr. Priyadarshini (Head of Department of Data Science and Analytics) across criteria including scientific novelty, commercial viability, poster layout, and oral pitch delivery. At the conclusion of the departmental event, the judging committee awarded First Place to Group 6 on their project “Necrobiome Forensics: The Microbial Bio-Clock”, Second Place to Group 1 on their project “Dawai Check” and Group 3 on their project “Myco -Packaging”, and Third Place to Group 5 on their project on “Nutri Check” and Group 7 on their project on “PhageGuard”.
The programme was successfully conducted under the able leadership of Dr. Arti Kumari, Head, Department of Biotechnology. The active involvement and encouragement of faculty members including Dr. Alok Ranjan, Dr. Premlata Kumari and Dr. Vivek Raj followed by the dedicated technical and operational assistance of supporting staff Mr. Ashish Kumar played a pivotal role in the smooth execution and overall success of the event, culminating in an engaging platform that celebrated student creativity, competitive excellence, and entrepreneurial vision.
