The Department of History, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, organized its Freshers’ Day for the Session 2026–2030 on 22 July 2026 at 10:45 AM in Room No. 18, based on the royal theme “Mughal Darbar.” The programme was graced by Dr. Vinita Priyadarshi, Head, Department of Political Science, and Mrs. Puja Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, as the distinguished guests, who were welcomed with plant saplings by Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Head, Department of History, and Dr. Priyanka, Assistant Professor, Department of History. The celebration commenced with a prayer dance, followed by a melodious welcome song. A captivating skit depicting the grandeur of the Mughal era, featuring a lively Qawwali and a contemporary dance performance, enthralled the audience and was followed by the grand finale. The guests appreciated the creativity, confidence, and teamwork displayed by the students and encouraged the freshers to actively participate in academic and co-curricular activities. The highlight of the event was the announcement of Miss Fresher 2026–2030, Ms. Anushka Kumari, after which the programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks.
