As part of Cosmos Quest 3.0, a poster-making competition was organized at Patna Women’s College, Patna, on 22 August 2026, marking the third day of the celebration of National Space Day. The competition was organized around the inspiring theme “India’s Space Journey Towards Viksit Bharat 2047”, encouraging students to creatively portray India’s remarkable achievements in space science and its vision for the future.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 24 groups, comprising students from various departments of Patna Women’s College. Students from other institutions also participated, with teams from Magadh Mahila College and B.N. College joining the event and adding to its inter-collegiate spirit.
The participants showcased their creativity, artistic skills, and understanding of India’s space programme through informative and visually engaging posters. The presentations highlighted India’s journey in space exploration, major achievements of ISRO, technological advancements, and the role of space science in building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
The posters were evaluated by distinguished judges, Ms. Meenakshi Mishra from the Department of Geography and Dr. Nupur Sinha from the Department of Psychology, who assessed the entries on the basis of creativity, relevance to the theme, presentation, originality, and overall impact.
The competition concluded with the announcement of the winners. The 1st prize was secured by Aditi Thakur & Akanksha Thakur from the Department of zoology, the 2nd prize was awarded to Sarika Suman & Srishti Suman from the department of AIML, and the 3rd prize was bagged by Sangya Palak & Maawia Sajid from the department of zoology. Their outstanding work was appreciated for effectively communicating the vision of India’s space journey through creative expression.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Kanak Singh and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Physics Dr. Kavita Verma. The successful organization of the competition reflected the institution’s commitment to promoting scientific awareness, creativity, and interest in space science among students.
Overall, the poster-making competition was an engaging and meaningful part of Cosmos Quest 3.0, bringing together students from different colleges to celebrate National Space Day and envision India’s inspiring journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
