On 22nd August, 2026, DISHA: Competitive Examination Guidance Cell of Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, organized an interactive guidance session titled “Pathways to Civil Services: Guidance from the Achievers” in collaboration with ALS IAS, at Carmel Hall, Patna Women’s College. The session aimed to mentor civil service aspirants and provide them with strategic insights into cracking competitive state services examinations.
The event commenced with a soul-stirring prayer.
The session featured two distinguished officers from the 64th BPSC batch of the Bihar Revenue Service as key resource persons:
Mr. Shashi Ranjan, Circle Officer, Samastipur District (and former Revenue Officer, West Champaran), shared essential preparation strategies, time management techniques, and insights into administrative duties.
Ms. Pallavi, currently serving in the Directorate of Land Acquisition, Patna (and former Circle Officer, Pusa), addressed key examination tactics, syllabus coverage, and the importance of perseverance for young women pursuing administration.
Ms. Amrita Prakash, Coordinator, DISHA : COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION GUIDANCE CELL, delivered the welcome address, setting an encouraging tone for the attending students and emphasizing the institution’s commitment to nurturing public leadership among women.
The program concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Puja Kumari,Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. The event was coordinated by Samiksha Raj Premier, Student Council , 2026-27
