Five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) 2026

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) inaugurated a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) for the teaching staff members from June 22,to June 25&29, 2026,titled “Transforming Educators: Teaching as Vocation, Research, AI and Life Skills.”

The programme began with a prayer and lamp-lighting ceremony. Principal Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. welcomed the resource person and emphasized that teaching is a vocation requiring dedication, passion, and adaptability to the evolving academic landscape.
Vice Principal Sister M. Tanisha A.C. felicitated the resource person, while Dr. Amrita Chowdhury, IQAC Coordinator and Head of the Department of Geography, highlighted the importance of AI literacy among teachers to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
The first technical session was conducted by Dr. Sinduja C.V., Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, NMKRV College for Women, Bengaluru, on “Teaching as a Vocation and the Role of Teachers in the Present Competitive Education System.”
The session was moderated by Dr. Sahar Rahman, Head of the Department of English. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Alok John Assistant IQAC
Coordinator and Dean of NICCS, who described the FDP as an important initiative to equip faculty with skills in AI, research, and holistic education.
