Human Chain on ” Plastic Free India “

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Patna Women’s College organized a Human Chain Programme on 18 July 2026 under the theme “Plastic Free India” with the objective of promoting environmental awareness and encouraging the reduction of single-use plastics.
A total of 66 NSS volunteers assembled at the venue at 8:30 AM. Prior to the commencement of the programme, the volunteers exhibited self-designed posters and placards carrying thought-provoking messages advocating the adoption of eco-friendly alternatives and emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation.
Subsequently, the volunteers formed a disciplined human chain within the college campus while displaying their handmade awareness materials. Through coordinated participation, the volunteers effectively disseminated messages highlighting the adverse environmental impacts of plastic pollution and the necessity of adopting sustainable practices.
The programme served as an effective platform for sensitizing students and staff towards responsible environmental stewardship. The active participation, discipline, and commitment demonstrated by the volunteers significantly contributed to the success of the awareness campaign. The event concluded with a collective pledge by all participants to minimize plastic consumption and actively support the national vision of a Plastic Free India, reaffirming their commitment to sustainable environmental practices.
