The 6-Day Bootcamp on Drone and Allied Technologies was inaugurated on 18 August 2026 at Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to emerging drone and Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) technologies.
The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Bhawana Sinha, Dean, Faculty of IT and Head, Department of MCA, who highlighted the importance of hands-on learning and emerging technologies in enhancing students’ technical competencies.
The programme was graced by Shri V. Sridharan, Scientist F & HoD, Cyber Physical Systems Group, C-DAC, Patna, and Shri Siddhant Panwar, Project Engineer, C-DAC, Patna. Shri Pradeep Nandan, Project Engineer, Cyber Physical Systems Group, and Ms. Nidhi Kumari, Embedded Systems and IoT Engineer, C-DAC, Patna, took over the session and interacted with the participants.
The inaugural session provided an overview of drone technology, its practical applications and the objectives of the bootcamp, motivating students to explore opportunities in this rapidly developing field.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Sushmita Chakraborty, Assistant Professor, MCA, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, C-DAC experts, college authorities, faculty members and students for their valuable participation.
The inauguration concluded successfully on an enthusiastic note, marking the commencement of the six-day technical bootcamp.
