NSS Orientation Programme

Date: 5th August 2025
Time: 10 am
Venue: Carmel Hall

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Patna Women’s College, under Patna University, organized an inspiring Orientation Programme to welcome new volunteers. The event marked the beginning of their journey in service, leadership, and nation-building.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the presence of esteemed Principal Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., NSS Coordinator, Prof. Suheli Mehta, NSS Programme Officers Dr. Jyoti Chandra of Unit II and Dr. Brahmananda of Unit I
Dr. Jyoti Chandra delivered the inaugural address, energizing the volunteers with her powerful words. She introduced the core philosophy of NSS—“Not Me, But You”—and urged the students to become the voice and strength of the underprivileged. Her heartfelt message laid the foundation for what promises to be a transformative and socially meaningful journey ahead.
The programme witnessed the gracious presence of Principal Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C, whose inspiring speech left a lasting impact. Speaking with wisdom and warmth, she emphasized the values of empathy, integrity, and social responsibility, encouraging students not only to serve but to lead with compassion and conviction.
After that NSS Coordinator, Prof. Suheli Mehta motivated the freshly enrolled NSS volunteers through her words of inspiration about the Republic Day Camp, environmental awareness, blood donation camp, and national integration through the celebration of various events of National importance.
Adding to the significance of the day, Dr. Brahmananda, a respected mentor and guide delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, volunteers, and organizers. His concluding remarks reflected deep appreciation for the energy and commitment of the NSS team and reminded everyone of the vast responsibilities and opportunities that lie ahead.
This event was more than just an orientation—it marked the beginning of a journey where service meets purpose, and young minds awaken to the call of building a better tomorrow.
