The Department of Economics organised a Parent-Teacher Meet (PTM) for Semester 2 students to
discuss their academic progress and overall development. The session aimed to strengthen
communication between parents and faculty members while addressing concerns related to
students’ performance and well-being.
Faculty members shared detailed feedback regarding students’ attendance, classroom
participation, internal assessment performance, and areas requiring improvement. Parents were
also informed about the course structure, evaluation methods, and upcoming academic activities.
The interactive session allowed parents to engage in one-on-one discussions with teachers, helping
them better understand their ward’s strengths and challenges. Suggestions were provided on
maintaining consistency in studies, improving discipline, and encouraging active participation in
academic activities.
The meet emphasised the importance of collaboration between parents and teachers to ensure
better academic outcomes and holistic development of students. Overall, the session was
productive, interactive, and beneficial for both parents and faculty members.
