Theme: “Learning to Let Go of the Past and Embrace the Present” . Conducted on: 27/07/2026,
A personality development class was conducted to help students of Semester III, develop a positive outlook towards life and strengthen their emotional well-being. The session was interactive, inspiring, and encouraged students to reflect on their personal growth.
One of the most impactful parts of the session was a story about a bird that carved its memories onto a stone every day. As the bird continued to add more memories, the stone became increasingly heavy, making it difficult for the bird to fly. The story beautifully illustrated how carrying the burden of the past can hinder personal growth and prevent us from reaching our full potential.
Students reflected that the session conveyed an important message, i.e. our past should serve as a source of learning rather than a burden. Happy memories become our achievements, while difficult experiences teach valuable life lessons. Instead of dwelling on the past, we should focus on living in the present and moving forward with confidence and optimism.
Overall, the Personality Development Class was meaningful and thought-provoking. It inspired students to let go of unnecessary emotional burdens, embrace the present, and work towards a brighter future with a positive mindset. The session left participants motivated to cultivate resilience, self-confidence, and a healthier perspective on life.
Dr. Urvashi Sinha, Assistant Professor, was the facilitator of the session.
