The Department of Microbiology, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) organized a Poster Making Competition on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 6thMarch,2026.The competition was based on the theme “Gender Inclusivity” ,encouraging creative expressions that promote equality, respect, and representation for all genders.
The objective of the event was to create awareness among students about the importance of gender equality and inclusivity in society. Through creative and impactful posters, participants highlighted the need to build a society that values respect, dignity and equal opportunities for individuals of all genders.
A total of 6 groups enthusiastically participated in the competition and showcased their creativity and awareness through visually appealing and meaningful posters related to the theme.
The competition was judged by Dr. Niti Yashvardhini Associate professor, Dr. Preeti Swaroopa, Associate Professor and Dr. Swetnisha Associate professor, Department of Microbiology, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous). The judges appreciated the originality, creativity, and strong messages conveyed through the posters.
Group V bagged first place with a poster themed No Gender – Respect All Genders Equally, creatively highlighting fairness, harmony, and equal respect for all genders, Group I secured second place with a concept poster showing that human potential –mind, character, and knowledge- defines a person beyond gender. The group III earned third place with a vibrant “Empowering All Genders” poster celebrating inclusivity and equality on International Women’s Day. Another group also tied third place with a colorful poster promoting respect, harmony, and equal recognition for all genders.
