The Department of Botany, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), in collaboration with the Department of Botany, Holy Cross College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli, successfully organized a three-day Online Faculty–Student Exchange Programme under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) from 23rd March 2026 to 25th March 2026 at M. V. Hall.
The programme aimed to foster academic collaboration, enrich subject knowledge, and provide students with exposure to diverse teaching methodologies. Faculty members from both institutions actively contributed by delivering lectures on key topics in Botany.
From Patna Women’s College, Dr. Hena Naz, Dr. Urvashi Sinha, and Dr. Anjana Verma conducted sessions on Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms, and Respiration, respectively. Representing Holy Cross College, Dr. P. Shanthi delivered a lecture on Enzymes, Dr. S. Catharin Sara discussed Molecular Biology, and Sr. Christy Mettilda taught the Secondary growth in angiosperms.
The sessions were highly interactive and informative, encouraging active participation from Botany students. The programme provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and strengthened academic ties between the two institutions.
Overall, the initiative was a great success, benefiting both students and faculty through shared learning experiences and collaborative engagement.
