A Sensitization Awareness Programme on “Strengthening Cyber Awareness & Financial Literacy” was organized by the IQAC of Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) in collaboration with the Department of Computer Application (MCA) on 22 May 2026 at Carmel Hall, Patna Women’s College. The programme was conducted by UCO Bank with the objective of creating awareness among the faculty members regarding cyber safety, digital banking security, and financial literacy.

The programme commenced with the inaugural session led by Dr. Bhawna Sinha, Dean, Faculty of IT and Head, MCA, who welcomed the distinguished guests and emphasized the importance of cyber awareness in today’s digitally connected world. She highlighted the growing need for responsible online behaviour, secure digital transactions, and financial planning among the faculty member. The distinguished guests from UCO Bank were felicitated by respected Dr. Amrita Chowdhury IQAC Coordinator, Patna Women’s College, as a gesture of appreciation and gratitude for their valuable presence and insightful contribution to the programme.

The keynote sessions were delivered by Mr. Mothilal Banoth, Deputy General Manager, and Mr. Moniak Chatterjee, Retail Hub Head, Patna Zone, from UCO Bank. The speakers discussed various aspects of cybercrime, online frauds, phishing attacks, OTP scams, safe digital banking practices, and methods to protect personal and financial information. They also guided participants on financial literacy, including savings habits, digital payment systems, and secure banking practices. The session was highly informative and interactive, enabling participants to understand practical measures to stay safe in the digital environment. Faculties actively engaged with the speakers through quiz, questions and discussions related to cyber threats and financial management. The entire programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Amrita Chowdhury IQAC Coordinator, Patna Women’s College.

The programme concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Sushmita Chakraborty, Coordinator Computer Applications (PGDCA) and Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications (MCA), expressing gratitude to the resource persons, organizing committee, faculty members for making the event successful and meaningful.
