On 31st, July, 2025, Patna Women’s College, celebrated Shravani Mahotsav, in Mother Theodosia Hall with a beautiful fusion of tradition, rhythm, and social awareness. The highlight of the celebration was the Shravani Dance Competition, where ten vibrant groups of students who showcased thematic dance performances on this year’s thought-provoking theme — “Global Warming: Dharti Ki Pukaar, Saawan Ki Fuhar.” The panel of judges included Dr. Manjula Sushila, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi, Ms. Yamini, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, and Ms. Anisha Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Ms. Yamini, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, guided the participants by explaining the key judgment criteria – theme portrayal, expressions, group coordination, costume relevance, and stage presence. The event was graced by Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice Principal, Patna Women’s College, who appreciated the students’ creativity and applauded their efforts. In the final results, Code 6, Department of History secured the First Position for their captivating performance and powerful message. The Second Position was awarded to Code 4, representing a mixed-department team. The Third Position was shared by Code 2 from the Department of Sociology, and Code 9 from the Department of Zoology. The event was moderated by Rajnandini Singh, Cultural Secretary, Student Council 2025-26 and Priyani Pandey, student of Microbiology. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Riya Nagvanshi, Sports Secretary, Student Council 2025-26. The event was organized under the leadership of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, and Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice Principal, Patna Women’s College. Cultural Coordinators Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Head, Department of History; Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, Coordinator, Performing Arts; Ms. Puja Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce; and Ms. Kriti Rani ensured smooth execution of the programme.
