Patna, 24 August 2026:
The Department of Computer Applications, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna, in collaboration with C-DAC Patna, successfully concluded a Six-Day Bootcamp on Drone and Allied Technologies on 24 August 2026. The bootcamp provided students with an enriching blend of theoretical understanding, practical exposure, experimentation and hands-on learning in the emerging field of drone and allied technologies.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Shri V. Sridharan, Scientist-F and Head, Cyber Physical Systems Group, C-DAC Patna, and Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, along with Shri Hariharan Krishnan, Scientist-C, Cyber Physical Systems Group, C-DAC Patna, Shri Pradeep Nandan, Shri Siddhant Panwar, and Shri Aman Kumar Singh, the resource persons from C-DAC, faculty members and student participants.
The programme began with a warm welcome address by Ms. Sushmita Chakraborty, followed by an address by the Principal, Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C. Dr. Bhawna Sinha, Dean, Faculty of Information Technology and Head, Department of Computer Applications, reflected on the students’ six-day learning journey and expressed gratitude to C-DAC Patna and the resource persons for providing the students with valuable exposure to emerging technologies.
During the bootcamp, students explored various aspects of drone technology, components and systems, sensors, embedded technologies, flight operations, data and applications, along with practical and hands-on learning.
The valedictory ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants, recognising their successful completion of the bootcamp.
The programme served as an important platform for strengthening industry-academia collaboration and exposing students to emerging technological domains.
The six-day journey may have concluded, but the learning, curiosity and spirit of innovation inspired by the bootcamp are expected to continue.
