Under the Nature’s Conservation Drive, beginning from 13.07.2026 to 28.07.2026 SRISHTI Environment Club, Department of Geography and ECO Task Force organized an invited lecture.
The Resource Person for this lecture was Brother Mark Mackey, S.J., a lecturer at the School of Environmental Sustainability at Loyola University, Chicago. He led an informative session on Environmental Sustainability, Eco-Spirituality and Ecological Stewardship. The lecture helped students understand concepts like Eco Spirituality and Eco Anxiety.
Students from the department of Geography and Zoology along with members of Srishti Environment club and ECO Task Force, enthusiastically took part in the event. Around 200 students took part in the session.
The session came to an end with an interactive Question and Answer round between our Resource Person and the students.
This session was made possible by the efforts and presence of Ms. Devopriya Dutta, Youth Coordinator, Tarumitra; and the faculty members of Department of Geography and Zoology.
The event was observed under the guidance of Dr. Amrita Chowdhury, Head, Department of Geography; Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Head, Department of Zoology and Vice-President; ECO Task Force and Ms. Meenakshi Mishra, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography and Coordinator, SRISHTI Environment Club.
