START-UP AND PROJECT MODELS EXHIBITION
The Academic Exhibition was successfully organized under the esteemed supervision of Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, Autonomous. The Departments of Commerce – Accounting & Finance, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Fashion Designing showcased vibrant Start-Ups and Project Models Exhibition, providing students with a platform to present their creativity, skills, and entrepreneurial ideas. The exhibition highlighted originality, enterprise, and practical learning, inspiring students to transform creative ideas into meaningful business opportunities.
It featured promising student-led start-ups by students of the Department of Commerce – Accounting & Finance:
Zeen by Enaya Khan – “Handcrafted, Skin-safe, Made to Shine” – Jewellery;
Sneh_Arts by Sneha – “Handmade with Love” – Clay Art;
Tiny Rainbows by Bhavya – “We Crochet It Uniquely Yours” – Crochet Art;
DugBug by Ananya – “Diversifying the Indian Sweet Delicacy Palette”- Brownies & More.
The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning presented 14 innovative student projects in AI, ML, IoT, robotics, computer vision, blockchain, and embedded systems, to solve real-world problems through technology. Projects showcased smart waste collection, AI-based plant disease detection, agricultural decision support, a student assistant chatbot (PWC ELARA), drone surveillance, fall detection systems, autonomous delivery robots, blockchain-enabled -seed bank management, gesture-controlled gaming, an interactive space museum (COSMOS), and a Smart Blind Stick for the visually impaired.
From the Department of Fashion Designing, 12 aspiring student entrepreneurs participated in the exhibition and displayed a diverse range of products developed in response to current fashion trends. The featured ventures included Melt & Munch by Muskan, offered homemade healthy candies; Wrapped in Love, showcased customised crochet products and gifts; Dilruba by Shabbahat, displayed beaded jewellery and embroidery; Craft Patna by Shehru, featured handmade candles, cards, decor and gifting products; Craft Edge, blending traditional Indian crafts with contemporary lifestyle products, and by Puritika, founded by twins Purwa and Kritika, showcased Indo-fusion garments and upcycled home decor.
The exhibition was guided by Dr. Soofia Fatima, Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Management & Head, Department of Commerce, Ms. Poonam Abraham Lakra, H.O.D, Department of AIML, Dr. Shemushi Madhu, H.O.D, Department of Fashion Designing & Dr. Geetanjali Choudhary, UG Co-ordinator, Department of Fashion Designing.
