The Electoral Literacy Club of Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University conducted the Student Council Election (2026–27) with great enthusiasm and active participation. The election was held at the Open Air Stage Hall, aimed to foster leadership, democratic values and responsibility among students while ensuring a transparent and fair selection process.
The Electoral Literacy Club under the aegis of Department of Political Science (Patna Women’s College) conducted the election through stages of Orientation (held on 12.03.2026), Counselling of the Candidates (on 13.03.2026), Campaigning (on 14.03.2026), followed by Voting (on 16.03.2026).
Voting commenced at 9:30 am. Students cast their vote for five key positions: President, General Secretary, Cultural Secretary, Sports Secretary and Environment and Discipline Secretary.
A total of 18 candidates from various departments contested, and the process concluded at 11:10 am. The vote counting began at 11:30 am under the supervision of Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Head, Department of History and Cultural Coordinator, Dr. Vinita Priyadarshi, Head, Department of Political Science and Nodal Officer, Electoral Literacy Club along with other faculty members.
After the counting process, the much anticipated results were announced at 3:00 pm. The event concluded with immense celebration, reaffirming the college’s commitment to nurturing democratic values among students
