The Department of Botany, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) hosted a Board of Studies meeting in hybrid mode on August 10, 2026, at 1:30 PM in MVEIC. The board successfully reviewed and approved the syllabi of the three Major Courses for Semester VIII, the Botany Postgraduate (PG) Two-Year Programme for Semesters I and II with necessary modifications,and the existing Undergraduate (UG) Course with minor updates.
Meeting Highlights:
Chairperson: Dr. Pinky Prasad, Head of the Department, chaired the meeting and moderated the proceedings .
Subject Experts: Dr. Birendra Prasad, Expert from Parent University, joined via zoom, while Prof. Indra Nath Mishra and Dr. Bijendra Saran, both Experts from outside Parent University attended the meeting in person. The experts provided valuable suggestions and recommendations.
Faculty Attendees: Dr. Urvashi Sinha, Dr. Hena Naz, Dr. Piyush Kumar Rai, Dr. Anjana Verma and Dr. Meenu Gautam attended the meeting.
The meeting concluded successfully with the approval of the proposed syllabi and the incorporation of the valuable suggestions and recommendations put forward by the members of the Board of Studies.
