The Department of Botany, Patna Women’s College, celebrated its Departmental Freshers’ Day with great enthusiasm and warmth on 22nd July, 2026 in Room 306, Science Block. The event welcomed the newly admitted students and provided them with an opportunity to interact with their seniors and faculty members in a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Hena Naz and Dr. Urvashi Sinha. It commenced with a soulful Prayer Song, followed by a graceful Prayer Dance. The celebration continued with an elegant Ramp Walk, showcasing the confidence and enthusiasm of the freshers. This was followed by a lively Welcome Dance, after which the judges were formally introduced to the audience.
The esteemed judges for the event were Ms. Kriti Rani, Department of Performing Arts, and Ms. Amrita Prakash, Department of Computer Application. Their valuable presence added grace and encouragement to the celebration.
A special highlight of the programme was the announcement of Ms. Anchal Kumari (Semester I) as Miss Freshers 2026 of the Department of Botany. Her confidence, poise, and outstanding performance throughout the event earned her the prestigious title, and she received a warm round of applause from the audience.
The programme was successfully organized with the dedicated efforts of the Student Council representative, Khushi, along with the support of the faculty members and students of the Department of Botany. The celebration concluded on a cheerful note, creating memorable moments for the freshers and marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey at Patna Women’s College.
