The Department of Commerce (Accounting and Finance), Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), organized Freshers’ Day – Freshers’ Talent Fiesta- 2026, with great enthusiasm on 23.07.2026.The programme aimed to foster a sense of belonging, encourage participation in cultural and academic activities and provide an inspiring beginning to the academic journey of the freshly admitted students in Semester -I.
The celebration commenced with the warm reception of the distinguished guests, Dr. Manjula Shushila, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi and Ms. Amrita Prakash, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Application who were graciously welcomed by the Head, faculty members and students. The programme began with a soulful welcome song, creating an atmosphere of warmth and celebration. This was followed by the welcome address delivered by Dr. Soofia Fatima, Dean & Head, Department of Commerce who extended a heartfelt greeting to the esteemed guests. In her address, she encouraged the freshers to embrace the opportunities offered by the college with confidence, curiosity, and dedication.
The programme showcased the remarkable talents of the students through a series of captivating performances. The audience was enthralled by a graceful semi-classical dance, a thought-provoking poetry recitation, an engaging skit on women empowerment, and mesmerizing instrumental performances on the guitar and violin. Each presentation reflected the creativity, enthusiasm, and artistic excellence of the students, making the event lively and memorable.
One of the most anticipated moments of the celebration was the selection of Ms. Fresher 2026. Ipshita Ghosh was crowned Ms. Fresher 2026 in recognition of her confidence, elegance, stage presence, and outstanding performance. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of the students of semester -I.
CS Shweta Shah, Ms. Puja Kumari, Dr. Nikky Kumari, Ms. Mona Kumari, Ms. Sohini Kumari and Ms. Khushi Kumari were present on the occasion. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks for the valuable contributions of everyone in making the event a grand success.
