The Department of Computer Applications, Patna Women’s College, celebrated Freshers’ Day 2026 on 21st July 2026 with great enthusiasm and warmth to welcome the newly admitted students into the department.
The programme commenced with the gracious welcome of the Cultural Coordinators, Dr. Manjula Sushila, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi, and Mr. Adweetiya Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science. They were welcomed by Ms. Manisha Prasad, Head of the Department with plant saplings.
The event began with a graceful prayer dance, followed by a melodious welcome song that created a vibrant and festive atmosphere.
The celebration featured a variety of captivating performances, including a thought-provoking poetry recitation, an energetic group dance, a soulful duet song, and another inspiring poetry presentation. One of the major highlights of the event was a drama portraying the memorable three-year journey of college life. The audience thoroughly enjoyed another lively group dance, which marked the grand finale of the cultural programme.
Following the performances, the Cultural Coordinators addressed the gathering and shared their valuable feedback.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the Cultural Coordinators, faculty members, the organizing committee, seniors, participants, and everyone whose efforts contributed to the success of the event.
The most awaited moment of the celebration was the announcement of the Freshers’ title. Shristi Kumari was crowned Miss Freshers 2026.
