The Department of Mass Communication, Patna Women’s College, warmly welcomed its new batch of students through UMANG 2026-Fresher’s Day Program.
The programme showcased a series of captivating performances, including soulful musical renditions, an expressive poetry recital, an impactful skit titled “Puchta Hai Patna,” which highlighted the role of journalism and accountability in a democratic society, energetic group dance performances, and the much-awaited Miss Freshers 2026 competition. The title of Miss Freshers 2026 was won by Muskan Singh.
The event was graced by Ms. Amrita Prakash, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications, and Ms. Kamaljeet Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics. Through their inspiring addresses, they encouraged the freshers to embrace every opportunity with confidence, curiosity, and a spirit of continuous learning.
Organized under the guidance of Ms. Roma, Head, Department of Mass Communication, the celebration reflected the department’s commitment to nurturing talent, creativity, and leadership while providing the freshers with a memorable beginning to their academic journey.
The programme was gracefully anchored by Samia Mallick and Jaya Kumari. All faculty members of the Department of Mass Communication were present in the programme.
