The Department of Mass Communication, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), organised a two-day industrial visit to Akashvani Patna for Semester III students on September 1 and 2, 2026, as part of its experiential learning initiative.
The visit provided students with firsthand exposure to the technical, creative, production, and operational aspects of radio broadcasting. They explored various sections, including the Drama Room, Recording Room, Control Room, Music Room, Dubbing Room, and Akashvani Library, and gained insights into the processes involved in programme production, recording, transmission, and archival preservation.
An engaging interaction with Ms. Nidhi Shree, News Editor, Akashvani Patna, further enriched the visit. She shared valuable professional insights and encouraged students to develop their communication skills, remain adaptable, and explore diverse career opportunities in broadcasting and media.
The students were accompanied by faculty members Dr. Aprajita Pathak, Mr. Gaurav Aranya, Ms. Manya, and Mr. Prashant Ravi, who guided and facilitated their learning throughout the visit.
