The Department of Sociology, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), organised an engaging Alumni Connect on the contemporary and socially relevant topic, “Between the Reel and the Real: Why Authenticity Matters.”
The distinguished speaker for the session was Mrs. Naina Jha, who provided valuable insights into the growing influence of social media and the distinction between the curated “reel” world and the complexities of real life. Through an interactive and thought-provoking discussion, she encouraged students to reflect on the importance of authenticity, self-awareness, and maintaining a balanced perspective in the digital age.
The session was highly interactive, insightful, and engaging, with students actively participating in the discussion and sharing their perspectives on the subject.
All the faculty members of the Department of Sociology were present on the occasion, along with students of the Sociology Department, who participated enthusiastically and contributed to making the session meaningful and enriching.
