As part of the three-day COSMOS QUEST 3.0, held from 19 to 22 August 2026, a quiz competition was organized by Department of Physics, Patna women’s college for the students of PRAYAS School on 21 August 2026 on the occasion of Space Day. The theme of the event was “India’s space journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047”.The event was held at Patna Women’s College (PWC), Patna, with the objective of enhancing students’ knowledge and interest in space science, Satellite, and related scientific developments.
A total of 9 groups participated in the competition, with 2 students in each group. PWC also provided bus facilities for the participating school students, ensuring their convenient transportation to and from the venue.
The quiz competition was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Dharmendra Rai and Dr. Chandni Kumari, Assistant Professor Department of Physics, and Dr. Kavita Verma, Head of the Department. All the faculty members were present in the events.The students participated enthusiastically and demonstrated excellent knowledge, confidence, and teamwork.
The first position was secured by Group 2, represented by Aman Mishra and Anshu Kumar. The second position was secured by Group 9, represented by Gaurav Choudhary and Sonu Kumar, while Group 5, represented by Ankita Kumar and Sumit Kumar, secured the third position.
The quiz competition was an engaging and educational part of COSMOS QUEST 3.0, providing students an opportunity to explore their interest in space science while developing their knowledge, confidence, and teamwork. The event concluded on a positive note, with appreciation for all participating students.
The first, second, and third position holders were felicitated with awards by our chief guest Prof. Dr. Rajkishore Prasad and Dr. Sister M.Jincy A.C. Superior, Avila Convent ,who congratulated the winners for their excellent performance and encouraged all the participating students to continue nurturing their interest in science and space exploration.
