Value-Based Personality Development Class Report

A Value-Based Personality Development Class was conducted for the Semester I students of the Department of Botany on 31 July 2026 at 9:15 a.m. in Room No. 318. The session was graciously facilitated by Dr. Pinky Prasad.

The class commenced with the screening of a thought-provoking short video depicting the story of a bird that engraved each of its memories onto a stone and carried them wherever it flew. Over time, the growing weight of the stones became so burdensome that the bird could no longer fly. A wise owl then advised the bird to let go of its past, emphasizing that past experiences are meant to impart valuable lessons, not to become lifelong burdens.

Following the video, an engaging discussion was held on the underlying message of the story. The students actively participated and shared their reflections, highlighting the importance of embracing a positive mindset and moving forward in life without dwelling on past experiences. They acknowledged that excessive attachment to the past can hinder personal growth and distract one from living meaningfully in the present. The session inspired the students to view challenges as learning opportunities and to cultivate resilience, optimism, and emotional well-being.
