The Department of Commerce, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) successfully organized an insightful workshop on 2nd April 2026 on “AVGC, Orange Economy & The Power of Creative Careers” at the Video Conferencing Hall, Science Block, in collaboration with Zee Institute of Creative Arts. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Semester II students of Commerce, Commerce Professional, BBA, and AMM, and aimed to foster awareness of emerging career prospects in the AVGC sector and the expanding relevance of the Orange Economy in the digital age.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Soofia Fatima, Dean & Head, Department of Commerce, who underscored the importance of transforming passion into profession within the contemporary creative economy. The session featured expert deliberations by professionals from ZICA Mumbai & ZICA Patna. Mr. Anushk Alok highlighted the rapid expansion of the AVGC sector and the transformative role of artificial intelligence, advocating skill-based learning and portfolio development. Mr. Suryansh Raj provided incisive insights into the Orange Economy and India’s global positioning, emphasizing storytelling, personal branding, and content creation through real-world case studies.
Further, Mr. Yash Tiwary elucidated the implications of Union Budget 2026 on creative industries and outlined career opportunities in graphic designing alongside essential employability skills, while Mr. Gopinath Banerjee motivated students to recognize and cultivate their creative potential. The workshop also incorporated an engaging industry interaction and live demonstration session, offering practical exposure to tools and industry expectations. Active participation in the interactive Q&A enabled students to gain clarity on career pathways, skill enhancement, and internship avenues.
Overall, the workshop proved to be highly informative and inspiring, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to bridging the academia–industry interface and encouraging students to explore innovative career trajectories within the rapidly evolving AVGC domain.
