The Department of Mass Communication, Patna Women’s College celebrated World Radio Day with a thought-provoking guest lecture on the topic ‘Radio and Climate Change’. The event was organised to commemorate the significance of radio as a powerful medium for raising awareness about critical issues, including climate change.
The guest lecture was delivered by Dharmendra Kumar Rai, a distinguished expert in the field of radio broadcasting. With years of experience in radio programming and production, Dharmendra Rai brought a wealth of knowledge and insights to the lecture.
During the lecture, Mr. Rai emphasized the critical role that radio can play in raising awareness about climate change. He highlighted the unique strengths of radio as a medium, including its wide reach and accessibility. He also discussed how radio is disappearing day by day.
The lecture was followed by an interactive session, during which students had the opportunity to engage with Dharmendra Rai and clear all their queries.
The event was moderated by Navya of PGDJMC Sem II student and Shambhavi Singh, student of Sem IV delivered the vote of thanks.
