World Social Work Day 2026

On 17th March 2026, the Social Work Club ‘SAMARTH’ in collaboration with Department of Social Work, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, celebrated “World Social Work Day” under the P.A.C.E (Personal Advancement and Career Enhancement) program with great enthusiasm. The programme commenced with the felicitation of the resource person Father Jesu Raj S.J. Director, Gyanoday RTC, Khaspur, Patna with a plant sapling by Dr. Mridul Mishra, Coordinator, Social Work Club ‘SAMARTH’ and Head, Department of Social Work as a gesture of respect and gratitude.
Following this, the Oath Taking Ceremony of the Social Work Club ‘SAMARTH’ was conducted. The newly selected members of the club took the oath, pledging to uphold the principles, values, and ethics of social work, and to work with dedication and sincerity for the welfare of society. The programme continued with an engaging interactive session focused on this year’s global theme, “Co-Building Hope and Harmony: A Harambee Call to Unite a Divided Society.” , issues.Students actively participated, making the session engaging and enriching.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Preety Singh, President (2024-2026), Social Work Club ‘SAMARTH’ where sincere gratitude was expressed by her.The whole event was supervised and coordinated by Dr. Mridul Mishra, Coordinator, Social Work Club ‘SAMARTH’ and Head Department Of Social Work,
Faculty members of department of social work Sister Sanjana A.C.,Ms. Amrita Ashish and Dr. Chandramani Piyush, were also present and extended their continuous support . Sister Monica A.C. Assistant Professor, Department Of Zoology also graced her presence.
The programme was moderated by Anamika, President (2026-2027), Social Work Club ‘SAMARTH’.
