Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Patna Women’s College, under Gender Inclusion and Equity Initiatives of Pradhan Mantri Ucchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PMUSHA) organized a Two-day Workshop on ‘Student Wellness: Building Resilience and Happiness’ on 18th March 2026 and 19th March 2026 in Video Conferencing Center, Room No-104, Science Block from 10 AM- 3 PM. The workshop was successfully executed under the supervision of Dr. Shazia Husain, Coordinator, Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics.
Day 1 of the workshop featured two insightful and engaging sessions focusing on spiritual and environmental well-being. The day began with a brief overview of the upcoming two-day workshop by Dr. Shubham Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics. The resource person for the first session was Ms. Sarika Singh, a yoga and wellness coach and founder of Yogivilla Yoga Studio. The session focused on spiritual wellbeing and holistic wellness, promoting mindfulness and healthier coping strategies through discussions and meditation. The second session, conducted by Mr. Prashant Kumar, an eminent social artist cantered on environmental wellbeing and sustainable living. He emphasized resilience, adaptability, and purpose, inspiring students to tackle challenges creatively through sustainable practices like upcycling and eco-friendly construction.
Day 2 of the workshop comprised two enriching and interactive sessions that emphasized psychological and nutritional well-being. The third session focused on psychological wellbeing and was conducted by Ms. Nidhi Singh, Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Professor at Magadh Mahila College, Patna University. She engaged students with warm-up and fun activities while raising awareness about mental health and its early identification. The fourth session was conducted by Ms. Shradha Singh, Clinical Dietitian at AIIMS, Patna, aimed at nutritional wellbeing. She shared practical knowledge on anthropometry, portion control, and balanced diet planning, while also guiding students on nutrition careers and future opportunities.
Each session witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 50 students and faculty members of the department and concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Gauri Swastika, Ariba Gauhar, Fruty Kumari and Shikha Rani (Semester II, Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics). Moderator of day 1 was Ananya Awasthi and day 2 was Anushka Gupta (Semester II, Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics). Overall, the two-day workshop offered a comprehensive and enriching learning experience.
